Alright, I don't have the most professional amazing brooder, but I have a decent one...made of cardboard boxes. They are about two and a half weeks old. They all have their wing feathers and tail feathers and some have even more then that. They have a lamp on them, but at the current moment I don't think its giving off too much heat, so I put something over the top of the boxes to keep some heat in.

Currently, they are in my home, in the family room. However, my family is starting to have an issue with the dust. I was going to move them to my room, but of course I am not looking forward to the dust...but I will deal if need be. The other option I was thinking of was moving them to the sun room. However our sun room is...weird. The windows aren't that great so it is what it is outside temperature wise. Right now, during the days it has been around 50-60 degrees during the day 40-35 at night. I kept them out there today just to test it out to see if they would huddle under the lamp, but they were spread out and even acted like they were hot holding their wings away from their bodies. I'm assuming they will be cold, but do you guys think that I shouldn't keep them in the sunroom? I feel like it would be way to cold at night. Just wanted a second opinion. Thanks guys! :)

I think they would be fine. How many chicks do you have?
I heard that in -20 degree weather you could have 5 chicks per 250w bulb. It was in a book that had some old poultry secrets. I would go for it!

Your welcome! I don't even have any chicks yet but getting four chicks soon.
The only reason I know anything is that I read a ton of books!
