Thank you for your help. He has always been a very laid back cat, even when we first got him.

Put one hand on one side of his belly and use the other hand to "tap" the other side. If you feel a vibration on the other side your just resting your hand on, it could be fluid. Thats serious. For him to "bloat" up like that in a week, even though he's eating, is very unusual. Id have him checked again.
