I am excited!!!
I still want to get a pair of these. I was going to last summer (I think we messaged about one of the swan sellers, whom I did NOT buy any from). I then found someone closer to me who was going to sell me a pair. But the day I was supposed to pick them up he called and said he changed his mind and was going to keep them (Grrrr). So I am still looking!
If you decide to sell any of your babies, please keep me in mind!

Nice clutch of eggs she has there now. So the Black swan males sound just about as territorial as the mute swans. I have to carry a long stick with me when I check the nest to block any swan advances.

He is not too bad.....he mostly follows you around like a shadow .....head arched in a displaying posture...feathers raised. If you happen to bump into him...hard not to do at times with him ontop of you.....he will wing wack you. He's never bitten. If I bend down and act like I'm going to pick him up....he'll run off. Lol . I got tired of tripping over him so I fenced them in around the nest. I've not tied to mess with the eggs lately.....I'm hoping at least one is fertile, she has six they have been setting religiously. I really want to snuggle a swan baby this year.....lol
