I'm having a difficult time finding the combination of chicks I want this spring. My latest search has led me to a local hardware store that uses Mt Healthy Hatchery. I'm aware of the salmonella outbreaks they've had the last several years. Has any one used them this year, what results did you have. I'm specifically looking at their Red Rangers and their Silver Laced Wyandottes. I realize that the Wyandottes will not be SQ, and might not even have good lacing. I'm primarily looking for a nice rose comb.
So, any further documentation of Salmonella this year, and how has the health of any chicks from Mt H been? I also realize that other hatcheries may have issues that just aren't being publicized.
