Much needed duck and drake advice please

Aww I'd love to see some pics of your ducks?
Just asked my daughter to take a picture and will try again to upload them - just as I am typing this the 6 of them just came into my bedroom - I'm guessing my grandson left the door open when he came in from playing - I now have a chicken sitting on my leg, one on the bed and the drakes at the foot of my bed rasping at me while the duck hens are trying to eat my slippers! lol -Need to take them out before they mess on my carpet - will work on trying to get pics up :)

I would also love to see some pics. :)

Anna, here’s a thread I started with some lovely member photos of drakes showing their different plumage. My drake in the first post is reverting back to his nuptial plumage now. There are also a few articles referenced (I should find those and copy them into the first post, huh?) that you might like to read. It’s funny how surprising it is for folks that don’t know about it, when their drakes start changing colors :D

Hmmm?..Never heard of that happening to Mallard Drakes or seen it?..I'm in Alberta and Mallard are a dime a dozen here. Yes, the Drake curls are shed and Drakes are calm during eclipse..
It was just what I read - proves you can't believe everything you read!
I am so looking forward to experiencing all of these things, so thankful you shared this :)
