OK. I'll sort the feed and water in the morning and see if there is an improvement. None of the other hens are like this.

True story! Mine had pristine, clean little tooshies until they started laying. Now things get a bit stinky back there...sometimes I will (VERY CAREFULLY!) use manicure scissors and cut away the offending pieces if they have hardened. Baby wipes also work well. It is important to note that I am referring to just a dirty bum, and not pasty butt, which is more common in young chicks. My girls always get messier tushies when they're laying. I think it just comes with the territory. Non layers have lovely clean fannies.![]()
YesOnly the 2?
Are they the only 'new' layers?
Digestive changes happen when laying starts,Yes
They only started laying last week.
I would, chicken feed already has probiotics...Should I stop the vit c and pro biotics still?
Hi. The two hens seem to be clearing up buy it's really mucky still but dryish. I was just sat by them and one did a really runny one does this look normal?I would, chicken feed already has probiotics...
....and not sure why you would be adding Vit C.
But I'm not one for using many supplements or meds or treatments,
unless there is a very specific and provable reason for them.
If I do use them,
I use only one.at.a.time allowing plenty of time to observe any results and/or problems.
They can often create more problems than they solve.
