l just “eggtopsied” the remaining eggs....all but one were basically fully formed chicks....but none still viable and none had completely absorbed yolk.....my guess was malpositioned and could not pip internally nor externally and death by drowning in shell

I'm sorry. That's how I felt for each of the ones I lost this time. I think I'm past the "die for no reason" stage now, though.

and then there were 6......rip lil dumpling! I was checking on them throughout the day and at some point lil dumpling wedged himself between the waterer and the side of the cage and I didn’t catch it until it was too late. he was last/assisted hatch and looked to be a failure to thrive baby too.

yes his chick color looks black.....not sure if it will stick to adult
