Does anyone know if he lived near the Jakarta area? I can't find the post where he mentioned where he lived. But for now, I'm pretty sure we won't hear from him for a while, the grid has got to be down with this second 6.8 quake.

Heads up everyone..... played with google earth once I found his user ID, he's approximately 200 miles from the first quake of 7.6 and 800 miles from the second quake of 6.8
He lives in Northern Sumatra, first quake was in Padang, 200 miles south. Second quake was on the next island in Jakarta.

OMG, thank you every body, i'm too sorry can't post any updates since i'm too busy and my region filled with power outages and flood on all street.

yes, the source of earthquake is located on west sumatra (padang). and till now 75 have passed away, thousands of houses ruined to dust.

and i'm still far enough from the source to get hurt but yes we feel the shake of earthquake.

and i'm really sorry to hear about tsunami attacked samoa island belong to US, it's hurtful to hear our brothers there being killed by the disasters.

i'm really grateful to have many friends on BYC praying for our luckiness and safe. i send prayer to victims of samoa tsunami
