I got an email from MMcM today and they said that they will send my order without the salmon faverolles! And they will put my $34 in my account for a future order! YAY!!! I hope they get through this challenging time. I am still a little sad about my salmon faverolles I wanted to get one for a VERY long time. But there's always next year!

Turns out the cornish i thought i ordered werd actually from IDEAL, not McMurray.

My blue cochins were affected. Ordered six, got 5 and got 2 extra of a different breed that wasnt affected instead. However i had lots of losses of the cochins, possibly from the stress of them sorting them an extra time or two to pick out their chicks to set aside

While I'm not ordering (and had no plans to order this year, anyways), I do appreciate each of you who chose to defer rare breed purchases to next year, when you can then help to preserve the genetic lines in a diverse number of locations, instead of simply cancelling orders or swapping for more available breeds.

I guess this worked out as best as it could. How many survivors & what other breeds did you get?

I ended up with 19 in the box with 17 origonally ordered. 1 doa (brahma) and 4 withinbthe next 24 hours (all 4 were cochins). I had ordered dark brahma, partridge rock, CX and Blue cochins. All females besides the st run CX

Sad about the Cochins, hopefully the one will hang on. Considering, it could have been much worse…we have a partridge rock coming too.

Of course the survivor is the weakest little thing, but she's made it further than the bigger 4, so hopefully that means something. She went to her new home yesterday, but she seems to have been doing okay after warming up again
