I e-mailed the researchers at the second link yesterday, but have not yet received a response.

The first link is great. The quote about 'Eleven breeds being registered...' is especially significant! If the Muscovy is domesticated, with recognized breeds, I would think that this might be a win-win, in that the FWS might have justification for just bowing out of the whole mess.

I will add the link, with a quote to my list of support for the "domestic argument", but please do e-mail Dr. Allen.

I will also e-mail the author of the article. He may be willing to mail a full copy to Dr. Allen.

Does anyone have Dr. Allen's mailing address?

PS: I doubt that Dr. Allen would need to get bogged down in reading the China genetics paper. I would think that just a presentation of a preponderance of evidence might be sufficient.

I'll be sure to include the link for the genetic's paper in my e-letter to Dr. Allen. Our Muscovy are "Domestic" & thus should be out of FWS jurisdiction.
