The only way to be certain is to wait until they are older. Males are larger than females -- but that isn't necessarily aparent until 3 or more months when they start getting thicker legs and keep on growing. By 4-6 months muscovy start growing carruncles -- males get larger fleshier carruncles than females. But the best way to tell the difference is by their voice. Males only huff and puff -- often with their heads back and wagging their tails excitedly. Females make gentle gurgling sounds sometime trilling quietly a little. you might know your ducklings sex by 4 months but you might not be certain until 6 months. I thought my duckling in the earlier photo was female from 'her' temperatment and size. But she kept on growing and by 6 months, I had to admint that she was a he!!!
