Muscovy ducks/ possible drake

Hey so first time having muscovys and i adore them, i asked the breeder for two hens and have started to question if one of them is a drake. The main problem i have is the one in question is mating the other and worried its going to drown her, is this is normal for two females? From looking on Google i wouldn't say it looks like a drake but im not sure, its under a year old but doesn't lay yet, its the one with black on its head . Look forward to hearing what people think 😊
I am not convinced you have a male from the behavior nor from the photos.
The muscovy look the same size and shape to me. Muscovy drakes are much larger than the females. Females have narrow tails -- and I think both yours do, too. The male muscovy tail is broad with the feathers lightly fanned out.

Do female ducks mount female ducks: yes! Definitely.

Do females get drowned during sex or sham female sex , not often. Ducks that get drowned are more likely to be mounted by several drakes on a pond and get tired out. But duck sex -- and sham sex between females -- does look to bystanders like the female is drowning.
