Muscovy Ducks

If you're talking meat then no there is no difference between the colors but the colors are definitely unique. Whites are much easier to find through hatcheries in large quantities colors like blue brown fawn lilac lavender etc are harder to find and not many hatcheries have the rarer colors so they usually cost quite a bit more than the white or black ones.

I have found that some breeders breed for specific traits more than others (size, egg production, maternal instincts, drakes that are good in a flock).

So if you are looking for a specific something... ask whoever you are buying from what they select for.

Otherwise.... the only difference specific to color is that white feathers make it easier to produce a pretty carcass.

I tended to breed towards broodiness ( I wanted the Momma's raising their own babies) and friendliness towards humans. I also tended not to breed the ones that had the huge Carunkles. Other than that I didn't separate the colors. It was kind of fun seeing what each nest had for babies by the end of the year. I miss them now. We had a neighbor dog run through the flock and take out all but one who then went to my niece. She's in love now too and wants more.
