Muscovy feed

I seem to be finding inconsistent information about what to feed muscovy ducks. Ours are 7 weeks and on starter. When do they switch to layer, I guess the differing info is because they lay much later than other ducks?

2 to 3 weeks before they start laying which I'm guessing maybe 25 weeks ish they will start?

If you can go to an all flock that way all you need to do is set out oyster shell either way they should still have oyster shell whether you feed layer or all flock. They can eat all flock from hatch to old age.

I would go with All Flock feed with a side of crushed oyster shells because my Muscovies didn’t start laying until age one (when Spring arrived.)
They don’t lay all year round either.

Would layer feed too early hurt them? I have a big opened bag from my buff ducks.

How many do you have? You could probably get away with a weeks worth of layer feed. To much calcium can cause problems yes.
