Muscovy hatching 10 days early

My opinions is that It looks like a little Mule Duckling (Muscovy Mix... probably with Mallard). It's very cute. I have hatched a couple that look a lot like it, but they were Muscovy/Pekin mules. 27 days is about right for mules.

But I could be wrong though but if those are the only 2 breeds they have it's not impossible that it happened.

They told me previously that they have a single female call duck too.
It's dry now, but still has the fuzz plastered down in a few places. My new camera does not like close ups and the baby kept moving. I'll post better pictures tomorrow.

DD put Niblet next to the brooder which is a clear plastic bin and he and the baby were pecking at each other and the baby ran and was chest bumping the side. lol I was trying to get a picture but then the baby ran under the fuzzy wuzzy for a nap. It wore itself out!

That is so cute, I hope you can keep and Niblet will have a buddy, any more hatching?

Still waiting on the second one to finish hatching, the membrane got dry so I added a container of water to the incubator and wet the membrane with a q-tip and it's wiggling again. The third one looks like it either pipped internally or is trying to, I can see the bill pushing the membrane up into the air cell, The 4th was behind the others in development so we will have to wait on that one. It will probably hatch around the 11th when they were due.

Oh, and the one we thought was twins was the first one to hatch. I guess we were mistaking the black spot on it's foot for a second eye when we were candling it. lol
