Sorry for your losses! But they're all super pretty.View attachment 3051625 I have had my drake a while and another duck but sadly a fox got in . This left my drake on his own so I went and got him some new girls or so I thought . My white girl is broody and currently laying but my lavender one hasn’t been broody at all looking at her today I’m now convinced she’s a drake ? Can any one help
IMO, the easiest way to tell is by their sounds. Duck hens have a more pronounced quacks whereas the males have raspy quacks. Keep an eye on the lavender and listen to him/her and see if they make drake noises or hen noises. (If your still confused, search up "difference between male and female duck calls" and you'll be able to hear the difference and hopefully determine the gender of the lavender)View attachment 3051625 I have had my drake a while and another duck but sadly a fox got in . Yes but, Muscovy ducks do not make sounds very often, and the drakes and hens sound almost just alike. They're not like normal ducksIMO, the easiest way to tell is by their sounds.
