Muscovy identity?

Haha I'm not positive of anything at this point! I am totally new to waterfowl and was told this was a Muscovy. My husband wants a lighter color drake and everyone around me has black drakes so I got this guy from a private seller in a Facebook page and had a friend deliver him to me. He is a lovely bird, and very personable. The Muscovy hens I have absolutely adore him. They're all very happy together but I'm really wondering if he is what he was advertised to be... Guess I'll have to wait to see if I get any ducklings to be sure

What an interesting looking bird! Do you have more pictures of him? Is his neck normally that long or was he really stretching?
He was really stretching to show off for the ladies.

Looking at just his face, he looks like a she - then looking at his body - he looks like a goose!

But I know nothing for certain on that... other then which ever it is, they're still young and will grow into the carbuncle. Speedy only just started getting part of her mask recently and shes a year old. Fancy had his start when he hit hormonal and wanted to jump ever female in the area.
How old was he when he went hormonal?

This looks more like a regular muscovy. But, his bill color is different than what I've seen.
I never knew they would stretch their necks so long. I looked at my guy and he was kind of curved in the neck and I imagine if he stretched out it would be much longer.
At 3 months I would think he would have more caruncles. Mine was about 5 months when he attempted to mate.
Maybe @learycow can shed some light in your new muscovy. :)

I still kinda think he is a she though... cause the twins were about that big as females when I got them and females take longer for their masks.
Well, s/he doesn't trill at all, and is twice the size of my girls, so I hope I have a drake. The breeder has assured me that hybrid is not an option. Guess I'll wait to see if they have babies

Meanwhile, thanks everyone for your input

Does he hiss? Or does he still sound duckling like?
