Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Yes im gonna raise them
So like take them from the mom?

If you are since your first time, i would only take about 2 to 4 because it can get very overwhelming if your not experienced and muscovies are so needy as babies :D Its so cute ! but there little peeping can drive a first timer crazy, so i would leave some for the mom

lol I literally sleep, eat, wake and constantly hear pipping if I've got little babies they don't go outside either until their to big to fit in my plastic tubs that I use as brooders I bring them out and let them play but I don't leave them alone for a second

Really? i let mine go play outside on like the second day

, and they love it, but yeah i'm there with them the whole time being a real mama duck watching the sky watching the ground and bushes and stuff, but i only let them out that early because i know they imprint on me so i know they follow me and they do! and its so adorable

Yeah I might bring them outside for like ten minutes but I'm like a rabid dog to my surroundings I'm like DONT EVEN LOOK AT THEM!!!!!!!!!

I have two that color and I was told they were lavender. They are much darker in winter than they were in summer but they are almost the same color exactly.
Thanks LilyD
In winter they do go a darker colour.

Hi
Can anyone please tell me what colour you would call these two ducks.

Thanks.
Not lavender, they are too brown.
My first thought is buff, but due to the blue hue at the tip of the tail and the feathers on the back I am going to say lilac (blue fawn). They should look dark, almost blue, when they molt and grow new feathers. And as they feathers age and get bleached in the sun they should look more light brown.
Does that sound about right?
