Babies eat a non medicated chick starter, preferably organic, and the mom will probably eat that to, its good for both of them since it holds many healthy vitamins and minerals for ducks. babies should always be attended by their care taker ( a human not the mother duck) to make sure they don't drown or get over stimulated. The mother should keep them warm. Make sure babies don't get to dehydrated or over hydrated, they can easily bloat and pass away. Always be sure they have water but make sure they don't have to much, it's complicated. The mother should have a separate water source so the babies will always have enough to drink, preferably get a gallon bucket or two gallon bucket so for the mother if u don't have a bucket already. and make sure the food is never on the ground make sure its in a container of some kind, like a dog bowl or even a peanut butter jar top so the babies can reach it. Always keep a clean environment so the babies don't develop any respiratory issues.
I was reading about that actually, it is recommended but it would be an inside outside goat, like a dog lol, so It would have friends inside and everything, plus I would get a girl so no much agression and I would get her spade an dehorned just so it would be okay to have inside.
did she get along with your dogs?My goat was potty trained. You could take her for car rides (which she loved) and never had to worry about the seats. She was a full sized French Alpine. They are really fast learners - very easy to train. Mine knew a variety of tricks, and was very people oriented!
