Muscovy keepers share your pics!

I lost the very first muscovy female we had, the one i got in 5th grade, the mama of the first clutch of ducklings, if something got her, then it can get any duck, April was very weary and smart and always knew what to do, if it out smarted her then they're is a real danger :(

Buck what ever is getting your ducks knows your routine, If I had a bold pred like that I would keep my ducks up for a while. put out catch traps and get it closer to the house if it's bold it will come in and take the bait then you'll know for sure what's getting your birds. Are you locking everyone up at night. Thsi tie of year with mama preds looking for an easy meal for herself and then her babies she will be very bold indeed. Sorry for the loss of your duck.

i'm going to start putting everybody up, i know this seems crazy but i think it could be either a cat or fox, I've seen a stray cat looking at them i think but it could have just been sitting there, anyway its either that or a fox, and yeah today or tomorrow were going to go and get some bigger traps the one we have now is probably to small. But when i catch the predator or any other predators, i'm going to actually kill it this time, mother or not, if it is a mother then her babies will learn to hunt here to :( so i don't really have a choice :( its actually pulling a little at my heart because foxes go a while without food right, well when ever this one just feels like it, it comes and takes them even if its not that hungry, tonight every bodies going up, i don't know how but i'll make it work somehow. the geese aren't doing their jobs either so thats a little frantic, actually feel really depressed right now and feel like i'm going to cry because (and i realized this last night to) i'm never going to see those ducks that i lost for a long time, its heartbreaking you know, knowing that you'll never seem in the yard again or their muddy faces when it rains. Umm.. so yeah um.. i'm sorry this was so long, its just really hard for me right now, knowing that the babies that i raised that went through that, were torn apart and.. i'm sorry i cant even describe it, knowing that something also did it because it was probably not even hungry hurts me since. I understand that animals kill to survive but, its killing towards excess. I really am worried for all of their lives right now, i don't know if everyone will go up though, i'm hoping at least they will, i'm going to see what i can do to make everyone safe and secure again. i'm scared, i'm really truly scared

Also knowing that i can't even bury them is gut wrenching. There were no signs of the others only april left some feathers because, she fought, she was a true fighter and it hank her for that, she showed me which way it comes from by fighting back when it was just about to take her through the gate, i think she knew that she needed to fight back so that she could show us the way it comes from and what we can do to stop it. So please everyone as you era this try to remember your very first muscovy mama and if you have her please be thankful that she has sacrificed her life to raising babies and making sure they grow up strong and healthy and thank her for teaching the babies how to survive ( if you free range)

Could it be a possum? One of those nasty little beasts got my last two back in November.
Dan i'm sorry but opossums don't usually kill adult birds, they're not fast enough and don't put up a fight, opossums are scavengers and opportunists, unless syou had a female who was on a nest 24/7 it couldn't have killed your ducks, i think that what killed ur ducks was your sisters cats or a raccoon :( and also about what i said earlier this year about ducklings and hatching eggs, i can't anymore its going to be a harsh summer.
