Muscovy keepers share your pics!

My hen, Paddles, started laying on Feb 10th and the last four eggs she's laid have been jelly eggs. I feed them Layena and they also get free choice oyster shell. Any idea how I can help her with this? She's acting fine, normal poops etc. and I can't figure out what's going on with her.

What is in this layena? I feed everyone here (and thats a large variety lol) flock raiser crumbles, out of 40+ hens I usually get 3 or 4 jellies a season.

9 day since i started incubation: Out of 13 eggs in the incubator 6 have veins etc. 3 started development and died. 4 had no sign of development.
I hope at least those 6 hatch out fine and healthy! I really want to have at least a female descendant of my lost duck

Why such poor fertility??? My drake was not related to duck. They were mating every day also with a Campbell drake

*4 with no sign - pretty normal it's early in the season.
*3 quitters - not that unusual but keep that humidity up.
*6 with veining Awesome!
Your next go will give you better results as we will be further into breeding
GOOD LUCK!

Whats the ?? I would be glad to give it a shot
okay, I have a Muscovy hen that I have been having for about four or five years now. she has sat on two clutches of her own age but has never been able to have babies because I have never had a drake Muscovy. Well she just started laying about 8 or 9 days ago and we had then with all our chickens so we had to move her eggs 3 times and I put them in a small dog cage and was locking the door at night and opening it in the morning so she would be able to get in and lay her eggs in the morning because she was laying one every morning. Well she has not laid an egg at all today and she didn't like one a couple days ago either so what do I do that she didn't lay another one today.

Hi! We adopted these four two weeks ago, they were being sold for meat. I couldn't see that happening, so they moved in with us. They are nice ducks, but we have no idea if they are ducks or drakes. We're not familiar with muscovies, can someone tell me if they are ducks or drakes? Thanks so much!

unless they are really young these are hens, now that being said, since you don't know how old they are and since they have been fattened up to sell for meat they COULD be yearling drakes (but I don't think so) check the legs short stubby legs are drakes usually. Now hows that for a definitive answer LOL

That's a lot more definitive than my "I have absolutely no clue". The fattening is actually my fault, they were skinny as rails and their faces were pale pink when they got here. The only info I got from the woman I bought them from was that they were hatched last year. Not wanting her to change her mind, we stopped asking questions and loaded them up. I'll go look at their legs compared to my Cayuga and Welsh. And thank you for your help!
