6 days later and we have Otwo. Found her this morning all cold and away from the nest. Put her and the last egg in the incubator and she's doing real well now.

I'm beginning to wonder if Ono might be a regular duck??

Now for the remaining egg. It pipped internally >24 hrs ago. I did an artificial external pip and can't keep my hands off of it.


I don't want to lose the guy. It isn't trying to move at all. Lots of peeps though.

Otwo looks "regular" to me, but her tail does seem long for a "regular" duck. Ono looks to be a "regular" duck though! LOL

I know I should leave it alone.
If it's struggling, read up on manually stripping the membrane, usually with tweezers, a bit at a time. If it dries out too much, he/she won't be strong enough. I've saved one, and lost two this way.

Thank you. I've been keeping the membrane moist. Trying to keep the lil one in the shell as long as possible.
