Muscovy keepers share your pics!

I thought Theoden was a silver. Theoden has darkened up since his molt plus this pic is of him under the spruces so is darker than he actually looks. I originally thought the little light colored girl was silver also...she is 4mo. right now... but she is showing a lot of cream/brn tinting so I have no idea at this time what to call her. Her parents were both blues. I wonder now if Odin carries a chocolate gene. He has one patch of brown tinted feathers on his chest and his son does also.

Here are my little ones all grown up. I last posted pictures back in Spring of last year when they were still little yellow ducklings.
This poor little girl below has deformed wings, however she manages all the same.

One of our slightly coloured ones.

Finally our big dirty looking male with a couple of other females in the background.

And another....

I am really hoping that this spring that one or more gets broody. They all lay eggs now and the male always makes sure his ladies produce fertile eggs. lol

I never thought of silver, could be and your young girl too. I have had Muscovies for going on 9 years and just since 09 did I know about all the colors they come in. still learning.

They are very pretty, if you ever have another get angel wing like your one girl has, you can fix it if you get it early. If you don't get a broody there would have to be something wrong, lol Scovies love to brood.

I had never heard of angel wing. I looked on line for sticking out wings and found nothing. Thankyou for letting me know. I just thought she was disabled. I feel guilty now

It's not your fault and you should not feel guilty, you tried to find out what was going on. I had never heard of it till I found BYC. you can trim her feathers some though to help her not get her wingds caught on stuff. Just don't cut into the quick.

I'm looking for high quality black and or blue hatching eggs this spring, i had someone lined up but they are not answering my e-mails anymore. Can anyone point me towards a source for exhibition line black and/or blue muscovy hatching eggs?
Thanks please send a PM or e-mail.

Keep an eye on eBay. have seen several Blacks and Blues lately and they were exhibition quality. Also the other online auction sites. Hope you locate some. I may try to add Blacks as well this fall. We are adding Whites...if the eggs hatch. I am trusting a Chocolate Muscovy hen with that task.
