Ssaaaaaawwweeeeeeeeeeet!
x2 love em!

I have a drake Muscovy can they become protective of other animals? I have chickens, turkeys & 2 other ducks(not Muscovy) & my Muscovy spends most of his time trying to mount my turkey & chasing my rooster away from the hens, when you walk in the pen he starts hissing & feathers stick up. I raised him from tiny baby & he is very rotten. Is this normal? I think he's just retarded! Lol!

Is your turkey a hen or gobbler? if a hen then he needs to be kept separate from her and your hens, some drakes will try to mate with anything in feathers. and they are not compatible sexually and he will kill or inure your hens. Drakes need at least 3-4 or more ducks to keep them happy. the hissing and feathers sticking up is normal behavior for Muscovy drakes

Quote: Negative. Of the 4 Mules that just hatched, she led them to the pond and got 2 taken by ravens. She's a great incubator, but a terrible mother. She leads them out into the open. I said this is her first *successful* clutch, not her first. She had one last year that she jail-broke out of the stock trailer and got all but 2 killed. She's really terrible. The ducklings are in the brooder and alive- going to their new farm on Saturday.

What is the likelihood that all of my clutch isn't going to make it? I mean my girls are sitting on them and my boy has covered them before but the two times I have candled them I haven't seen anything.

Just a wee update about Lola, her toe is looking good and she has stopped nibbling at it.

I probably got alot more worried than I needed to and and was definitely more stressed than Lola was and it was her toe

Thank you for all your help so many lovely people on here xxxxxxx
