Really....jeee... i`d honestly thought it was a cute little girl...:'(
But never mind. Those drakes are the sweetest guys ever! Just hope he will get along with my current drake.
I really thought my drake had a soft spot for HER, because they are so sweet together...(as you can see in the pic)

I could be wrong lol pics are hard to tell perspectives and so forth but i have seen that stance before... i seem to get nothing but drakes on this farm lol again, 8 hatched this year, only 2 ducks! we won't even get into last year.



This is my March clutch(this years) do you see that small little one on the end? to the left? that is the LONE duck, the rest are all drakes... see that chest sticking out on the BIG guy on the far right? the feet etc??

While we`re at it, could someone look at my duckling`s colors?
It looks like he has got some brown in it, could it be that he has some blue genes as well?
Or do i stil have to buy a blue duck next year

Ooohh...i really have to work hard on my hubby to convince him that it`s really necessary to have a blue duck as well...

It's hard to say at this stage they change so much, I had a couple with brown heads and they have all gone white on me so it's a waiting game most likely. I'm thinking probably not any blue in yours though, I could be wrong though they go through so many changes. That's what's so fun with Scovy's the changes they go through

Would like to see pictures of your coops. I need to build one and would like to see what is working for other people. I have 13 birds, but will need to be able to have at least for separate compartments to isolate the different breeding groups.

I know most of mine turn out to have the white head I have one of my youngest right now that I thought was not going to change head color but even though she is slower than her 2 sibs it looks like she will be white head too. She's almost 6 months old so it's ever changing with these ducks.

What kind of climate do you live in? Cold and snow, or hot?
