That would be something! most of my juvi males do roost but before long the size makes that harder.. my girls are all full flight, so often we have a few flutters overhead they don't go far though, they love the kids old super tall playground, for instance.
None of my ducks roost in trees, they all just sit around by the pond at night, but during the day the young males will fly, and of course, the females unless their feathers are too tatty...and then perch up high in trees or on top of posts, sheds, etc. I just love to watch them

Mine don't either, they love the roof of the duck barn, house .. the fence too... oh and the bench lol

Love these wild type muscovies. How heavy are they? How much do the sexes differ in size? How muxh time do they spend on water?

My domestic scovies do more behave like domestic mallards...prefer walking over flying, sitting on the ground over perching and like to join the runners on the pond.

From what i can see of them here, they´re pretty much the same as our domestic ones in these regards.
In this photo there´s a male and female chillin´ out by the pond, then as we walked on round there was another male in the water, really close-up, but I didn´t get a pic.
