No i meant hes "Wild-type" like a tamed mallardI know that is what the wild Muscovy looks like but didn't know what you meant by wild, like he just flies in from time to time and actually lives in the wild or because of his genetics. How did you get him? and do you show? of course over here Scovy's have so much cranucling on their faces for showing they look abnormal. I much prefer the look of yours.
They are smaller then the domestic ones. The size diffrerent in sex are big, the female are like a pancake when they mating.Love these wild type muscovies. How heavy are they? How much do the sexes differ in size? How muxh time do they spend on water?
My domestic scovies do more behave like domestic mallards...prefer walking over flying, sitting on the ground over perching and like to join the runners on the pond.
Really I didn't k now that just figured all of them were obsessed on over populating the world in Scovy ducklings. No i meant hes "Wild-type" like a tamed mallard
Its soooo hard to make them lay eggs and hatch ducklings, they are not like the domestic muscovys who are hatching eggs all the time.![]()
For sure, they do this on my bench just out my back door too..patio furniture takes on a whole 'nother meaning here.Great pic...look out before you sit down though!![]()
Interesting, since i pretty much only own scovies i find they roost, forage and puddle play more than anything.. my calls which are real close to mallards, sit in water all the bloody time! and there full flight too, they adore fluttering in/out of their 40GAL trough when open.Love these wild type muscovies. I think they´re different in their home environment, that´s how they became domesticated in the first place and ahow the indigenous people here could play around with the slightly different markings on them...it´s in their genes!Really I didn't k now that just figured all of them were obsessed on over populating the world in Scovy ducklings.
Haha, like it...you´ll have to change the name to 'pato' furniture ('pato' means muscovy duck in portuguese)For sure, they do this on my bench just out my back door too..patio furniture takes on a whole 'nother meaning here.![]()
