Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Its Hatching season! Here are a few shots of our first brood to hatch this year. This is Nimh's second year of hatching. Her first two hatches last year, she hatched 18 of 19 and then 16 of 19. This first round this year, it looks like she only has about 7 or 8. We have 4 other brody mama's sitting on nests right now too, so we will be overrun with mama's and ducklings very shortly!

They are adorable.

About all i can do is steer you here  https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/incubating-and-hatching-muscovy-eggs  I've never hatched Muscovy eggs always let my ducks do it. But i hope you get a great hatch let us know..

Thanks Miss Lydia:)
I'll have a look now.
I know I'm not going to have a huge hatch rate as I made so many rookie mistakes to start with but I won't make them again and will do better next time.
Am just returning home from holidays today so I will candle tonight and lock down on Monday.
Fingers crossed!! :)

Yesterday, I let my pekins out for the first time. The muscovies were out (they are older) all along. The pekins went into the muscovy pen and were eating the food and water, while the muscovies were out. (See picture) Then, the muscovies checked out the pekin pen, they then all got together in the peking pen and finally everyone went outside! It's funny—they know which pens to go in at night and if the pekins are in the muscovy pen and see us come out, they run out of the pen! It's like they know it's not theirs and they don't want to get caught! It's funny—I've never had two different breeds before and it's fun to see how they interact. Also, when the pekins come out of the pens, the muscovy females actually make noises. The only other time they "peeped" was when I took their eggs away.

Goodness me my eggs have air sacks the size of ten days in and they're at day 30! Help!!
Are all of these ducklings going to drown before they get a chance to make it out? I'm so worried:-(
I had to go away for ten days and they seemed small then so I set the humidity in the bator right down to 20%, possibly even lower as I think that's the lowest it will read and they've hardly lost any fluid at all.
Is there anything at all I can do at this late stage?

Hi,

I received my MUSCOVY eggs and put them in the incubator after the mom had began sitting on them already, and they could be anywhere from 29-33 days in the incubation process as of right now. I still do not see any internal pips.

I need an answer to a very urgent question. Is it okay if I stop turning the eggs when they internally pip? Or will I need to stop turning before the internal pip? I am going to up the humidity when they internally pip, but I want to know if it is okay for me to continue turning the eggs until the internal pip. A fast response would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much
