This is my unlucky Scovy momma. ... In October 2012 she hatched out a lone duckling out of 14 eggs.Drake. Thursday, she hatched out two ducklings out of 10 eggs, one was special needs and didn't make it. So now Cocoa is raising another lonely only. This one is named Hazel. She's definitely a mule but cute as a button. Hoping she will be a girl so I can keep her... cross your fingers!!

so sweet! poor mama, my current duck only had one survive last year too. This year however she got 4 lol

Why not let the 4 mix and match for more variety?  They're all scovy!!!!!

That's what I have been doing but, I wanted to collect some eggs to hatch but I don't know we're there laying or if they are even laying.

She is actually chocolate ripple. Really beautiful, she looks like a chocolate Carmel sundae. I'll try to get a better pic.

Looks like some shaving would be good for her nest. they love to snuggledwin into something while brooding.

there are shavings in their houses but this was just a dog cage that was laying around, no idea why they are laying in it.

They just like to lay where they feel maybe safe and away from others, I hope it's in a safe place because you don't want her sitting where preds can get to her.

they are safe, i worry about the rain getting to the eggs but other then that they are safe.
