Well, even after I clipped their wings, the Muscovies managed to push their way out of their enclosure. So I guess they really don't want to be in there any more. They moved themselves into the coop with the rest of the ducks and chickens. The chocolate hen is getting picked on by one of my Easter Egger hens something terrible! She (the chocolate) is more timid and gets pushed around by the other Muscovy hen already. The Easter Egger (Gracie#2) goes at her talons first, jumps on her back, and pecks at her. This hen normally gets along with the rest of the ducks just fine - it's just the chocolate she doesn't seem to like. She leaves the dominant Muscovy alone . . .
I'm hoping my new neighbors are both at work all day tomorrow as I have to work, too. I haven't had a chance to go over and talk to them about the 'new' ducks and the fact that they may not stay on my property as well as the rest of the flock. I'm hoping they will stick with the rest of the ducks and play in and around the pond . . .
Oh dear :-(

I kinda knew i had two drakes as that is the luck iv got. Unfortunately I also have one female Campbell so I think I may end up with a problem. Iv came up with a few options give one of my drakes away, give my female away (no eggs or ducklings then) or get another female. I dont have enough space to build another pen but I know eventually I will need to do something. Thank you for your reply and I love your photoDon't get to upset, two of either sex is easier to keep, when you get opposite that gets complicated. The second looks a bit smaller in the leg/foot but i too for now lean towards two drakes. The ducks are small, i actually held my 8wk old last night she's is a definite one arm hold vs the drakes(of the same age) is practically two. Their is one of my draklets.. you can see the other two in the background.I'll have to see if i can get a good shot of Julie, my wee duck...

You need to change your name . LOLOh, didn't realize you had a lady! yes, that is an issue, drakes should have 2-3 ducks per. You could try a 'pair' but be watchful, while i have some that do roam in a pair, the drakes can sometimes be a bit too much and you have to separate the duck for awhile.
Thanks for the compliment! and honestly, your luck isn't as bad as mine.. i only got 1 duck out of all hatchlings last year, and this year so far only 1 again, the clutch from Mar had 3 boys, 1 girl lol i am otherwise known as the 'drake farm'![]()

Due date?LOL.. yeah, should be interesting to see how the next hatch goes..![]()
