I had to move the nest as the dog house that nene Nd penny were nesting in was sooooo hot. However now that they are moved, the girls will not use the latter going into the coop, so I moved bellatrix and her 9 eggs. So now bellatrix is sitting on 22. However penny is gurggling again as she breathes.

Are you using the oxine ah with her misting her face putting some in her water?

I like that ladder nice an wide and not too steep.

none of the ducks will use it except for bellatrix, so 2 broody hens are making little noises and searching for their nest even though ive showed them several times where it is at

I did then stopped now doing it again with a higher amount of oxine. I do it to my chickens too.

as long as they have plenty of food & water they should be ok

i have even want so far as to add a box fan so they can keep cool

Are you sure that´s a female?

Pretty sure. The woman at the farm store (who has over 80 birds herself) vent sexed her twice for us. Once when we got her and again when we brought are anconas in at a week old just to make sure.

Clever idea with the umbrella, if i didn't have winds so strong around here it would be an option i'd consider.
