The one with the angry looking umbilicus need to be kept in a very clean brooder until it's healed.

Why not leave just 2 with her, and have the others in with your little one? He may do better with company, just make sure everything´s really very clean.Sorry 2 trying to come still. So will only be 5 out of 9, I think the bad success rate is because she had so many eggs on her own. Im not too sure if I want to give her the ducklings though. She just kinda seems like she wont care for them properly.. however I guess I can try
What makes one of them sick off and on? Diarrhea? Can you keep the new mum in a little pen on her own with her ducklings?Im also worried the ducklings might get sick due to one of my ducks being sick off and on too. Im not sure what to do

I gave bellatrix 19 more eggs. I feel bad for taking eggs away when close to hatch and keeping the babies, but I afraid of them getting sick and the other coop is so small..
I looked today and my muscovy seems to be sitting on about 5 or 6 of the eggs under her, and the other 2 or 3 are sitting around her in the feathers(nest), but close to her will these eggs be okay, ( this is only some times, not all the time, she's sitting on them most times I look in on her?
Any help/ ideas
Thanks Reece![]()
