Idk why her tail is bloody. I went to do my hourly rounds and saw her tail bloody and have been spending my time since seeing it trying to catch her to help her but making the bleeding worse as she runs away, ducks and hides. ELVIS is protecting her, hissing at me.

So if you can't catch her how do you plan to cull? Or maybe I shouldn't ask.

At night my bf can catch them, but he hurt himself tonight. We need to figure something out, our bunny is expected to kindle within the week. I lost an ayam cemani roo today, he died. This -14f weather is taking its toll on everyone and everything. I'm going to take a hot bath and prepare for chaos in the morning. The heated water bowls also didn't arrive today. Amazon sucks lately. Agh.

If her tail is bloody now i cannot guarantee this but is there anyway a blood feather has been yanked? i had this a few times with a young group where the girls(sisters) we picking on each other, one would be bleeding and the other covered in blood at the bill face, they love to grab each other and will on occasion result in yanking those blood feathers.

Perhaps i have missed it but what does catching her and a bloody tail have to do with culling? some scovies are just a pest to catch, i would never cull a duck unless ill, sell her if she doesn't suit your needs, ducks are quite valuable, took me years to build my females up.

So update, my muscovy hen is up to ten eggs in her nest. I think out of ten 6-8 are viable.

I only wanted to over winter 3 muscovies and I have 7. Idk why/how her tail got bloody. New heated water bowls arrived. Now to winterize the bunny waterers.

I can't catch her, so I just hope she's going to be ok. My bf hurt his hand really badly, so will be of no help. The ones I am nor keeping were intended to fill our freezer to feed us this winter. Along with my excess roosters. I'm trying to figure it all out.
