my muscovies don't fly at the moment. but I was thinking to separate them from my chickens and I would need to fence that area. they usually don't even climb anything higher than 1 foot when I let them wander a bit outside their run. maybe they are too young to fly (about 5-6 months old)?

Naw they can fly once they get their flight feathers, they just haven't realized it yet. But they may not want to fly into where the chickens are so fencing may work.

it depends on them, they can learn how to fly at 3 months if they mature enough, it only happened to me a few times where they started at 3 months but most oft he time they will start flying 4 to 6 so they should be flying, and if they get a little more space they'll quickly learn how to fly if they haven't yet, they can take off while sitting like most ducks

Doing very well Buck, hated losing my old girl during all that horrid temps back in Feb but everyone else is doing good and enjoying some spring time temps...

Glad to hear Miss Lydia I love your photos I got a close up on the boys they are such cuties! They are smarter then most animals because Normally when I walk up to them they run away but since I was in the other side of the fence they let me sit a couple inches from them! They can be really sweet sometimes to though.Sometimes I will sit down on the ground and they will come up to me and just sit down next to me and enjoy the sunset.(I watch the sunset in my coop a lot that's the best view and I burn up like a raisin so I usually see my birds morning or evening not midday)I actually have a sunburn now and it was cloudy that day! I also barely tan so that sucks I just get burnt over and over :/

I get really dark like I get like bronze dark
