Muscovy keepers share your pics!

I've tried and tried. He will not take it on his own. I've given him tiny drips of water out of the syringe. I've but him in a little warm water. He will barely hold his head up. I've snuggled him. He peeps so softly. I feel he's giving up guys. He cannot walk now.

Can anyone tell me when a duck starts to lay eggs?

Around 12:30 our sweet baby took his last breath. He died being warm and loved. I feel like we did what we could. He was the last of 14 who died.

Large lessons learned about late season hatchlings and cold weather here in eastern KY. Next year, we will be better prepared. Thank you to everyone for your sympathy and kindness. Thanks for offering tips to help us. It's wonderful to have a community who gets it and our crazy love for these "land ducks".

Will he get used to our house temp? I'm wondering how long to keep him so warm? Like he seems better in the box with the heat lamp than when we hold him. Still adjusting from the shock?

Swim time should only be for about 5 to 10 minutes, if that. Yes he will get used to the house temp, but not just yet. You have to reduce the temp each week about 5 degrees. I'm more excited about swimming lessons..
