When I introduce new members to my Muscovy flocks, I always add at least two. Also those 2 must know each other or get along. Sometimes catching all your Muscovy's and putting them into cages and doing a full clean out then putting new ones in with the Muscovy's work. Mine will pull feathers but then are perfectly fine 2-3 days later!
I have a Muscovy question.
Whats a safe and effect ive way to introduce three new hens to my three older muscovy hens?
Ive tried everything and they persist to act nice after a month of see no touch then i let the new girls in a few days go by and i see blood on two older girls bills.
Two of my older hens ripped open my younger chocolate hen just like the drake did but instead of above her tail they were after her vent. She is now in the house with the other two younger ones. And younger ones I mean 3-4 month olds fully feathered and everything. My drake has since joined camp freezer due tp his very undesirable behavior and temper.
Im at an honest loss. Sell my older girls or risk loosing my three young one to being mauled to death?
