My dark mostly blk muscovy has blk feet but all the rest don't so I'd say random.

I agree

I love the blue color & the matching blue kicks! Do all blue muscovy have dark feet or is it just random like other colors?

Thanks Scovy Momma and Miss Lydia!! I appreciate the compliments. Ryan: you have some GORGEOUS Muscovy! I know this because I have visited his breeding program and seen his stock up close AND all 5 of mine are from his stock!!! I have a black male, 2 blue pullets a black hen and a silver hen. His are very large and impressive!

Ryan, your birds are beautiful. I don't know why but I like the way the black kicks look

Muscovy sure are unique looking ducks! What determines the massive carnuncling (sp?) on some? Is it just yard birds are bred from different lines than show or are show birds desired to have a lot of red face?

They are from different lines. Show birds ar supose to have even caruncling that is very 'bumpy'. Muscovies with smooth heads are DQed. The White male has as good of caruncling as I have ever had.

Also I see you live very close to me! Nice to see someone with Muscovies around me!

Oh! That's what I figured. So they can't be shown until they are older & develope the caruncles then I suppose. I like the look of the smooth heads so I guess I wouldn't do well showing,

That's nifty,you're a Sac too!

I'll have to keep that in mind if I were to get another one.
So I guess it's legal to own a Muscovy then,at least around here? I am looking into having Daisy as a therapy duck but I'd hate to have it lead into her getting destroyed or me getting fined. I know the 3 chicken rule with a permit but I didn't know what the deal was on ducks or Muscovies in particular.

They are so pretty makes me think of mine with their coloring, Bless you for your service to our country. And what sweet parents for taking such good care of them.

our three little boys....not so little anymore. we rescued them as couple week old babies and now they are as big as our 4 yr.old grandaughter..so friendly and loveable. hope they get along with the in coming chickens. Drake, Kenny & Doug as cute but awkward youths...
