Since no one answered I'll say what I tried. Cleaning out our fridge freezer found a partial deer heart and small chunk of liver, so fried them up. Added some water to deglaze the pan added a bunch of the styrofoam chunks of dehydrated puffball with a lid on. Actually turned out great, they held form and tasted as good as fresh.Found a couple soccer ball size puffballs.
Fried a few meals up, have some in the fridge yet. Not sure if I did the right thing dehydrated a dehydrator full of them. Turned to chunks of light Styrofoam like squares. Anyone dehydrate them? How do you rehydrate them after and use them?
I was figuring on just adding them to soup, but I know they end up soft so not sure if I went the right way.
I have never eaten a dehydrated one, as I eat them as fast as I find them.Since no one answered I'll say what I tried.
