Mushroom foragers

Oysters might be next. But mid July will be the Lobstah's and Chanterelles.

I need to find a lobster place around here. They must be here somewhere...

My Cousins claims there are oysters now. I have never taken one as am not sure about them.

I need somebody to show me too. DH's forager friend says he's going to take him out to get some oysters, so he'll know. But ....making the time...is the trick for those fellows.

I am back from a cold rainy wet couple hours of foraging for fungus...


My finds:

Will try to add them. the new format is fighting me..

2 chickens we found and left there. We have better things today.


Below is an Oyster I found. My cousin knows them BC. It was the honey Mushrooms he is not sure of.

I kept one little piece of this to try. He took the rest.

And here is one of a bunch of Pheasants we found and left for someone else to find.

A huge False Morel I found.

As far as I know it is an oyster mushroom. Right now with all the moisture I have been getting there are mushrooms coming up everywhere. I am sure that many of them are not edible but have some that I suspect of being edible.

Good luck on your walk in the woods. Mine are all right here at the house. I have lots of LBMs (little brown mushrooms) coming up in clumps all over the place, even down in the field.
