Mushroom foragers

I used to eat very few wild mushroom species that I knew very well, but here in Alabama I don't know any of them and I leave them be. I wonder if there is a book available on the wild mushrooms of Alabama, with plenty of pictures and descriptions. I am sure that many of the mushrooms I see around here are edible, but I need to make sure. Nothing is more foolish (after doing drugs) than dying for having eaten a poisonous wild mushroom.

I saw on the one site you have chanterelles they should be anytime I think, down there.
