Mushrooms

I was wondering if chickens can eat mushrooms. My husband went to the produce market and the guy gave him mushrooms, broccoli, grapes, lettuce and bananas for the girls. On the treat chart mushrooms were not listed so I am not sure if they can eat it.

Mine do not like them. They try them and the little bit that they get has not hurt them.

My vet friend told me no on mushrooms, I pull them out of the yard all the time so the dogs don't get them ( toxic to dogs) so I'm not risking it.

My dogs eat mushrooms all the time and have never had a problem. I do not have mushrooms in my yard but not very often. Button and Morels from time to time.

Edible shrooms from the store won't hurt them but they have almost no taste and very little food value so they generally ignor them. I toss out the stems and funky ones with the other veggie leavings and they just ignore them.

Thanks for the advice. I will give it a try and see if they will eat them.
