i have heard jazz and country have upped the production of eggs is that true because the music scares away predators. so it would be a two for one deal

I have some very inexpensive oceanfront property in Arizona if would like to buy some.

I actually do think that music of any kind with singing could deter most wild animals.

I think classical makes them relaxed, jazz makes them confused, and country makes them depressed. haha.

I'd go for classical.

I don't know how it affects their laying, but when I'm out doing my chicken/garden chores I set my ipod to shuffle and for some reason my EE Hazel LOVES Jr. Brown (he's kind of bluegrass/country) and a guy who goes by The White Buffalo. I really think she likes twangy (is that a word?) music. She really seems to like songs that are heavy on banjos and steel guitars. Funny little Hazel.

All I can say is that our coop is right out side the shop. When we turn the music on they all look and stretch their heads. They seem to not mind it. But they also know we are right there too whenever the music is playing. My husband is great at handing out treats. The girls haven't started laying yet so can't help with that question.
