Music?

I was wondering if duckligs like music and what kind. I know that certain music helps adults, but what about the babies?

I bet talk radio, or any radio would help to scare off predators. Ide try it but my neighbors would have a melt down.

Mine had a radio on while in the brooder in the garage, It didnt seam to affect anything at all either way

I know that some studies have indicated that milk production increases when cows have music playing. It would not at all surprise me if poultry reacts the same way. However, I'd only play it during the day.

Don't know about ducks, but I did find that, to my utter amusement, at times the only way to get my chicks in the brooder (it's in my office, connected to my bedroom) to quiet down and go to sleep was to play music. They particularly liked George Michael.

My most recent batch of chicks love when I play Frank Sinatra It started when they were all hatching. They would all get quite in the bator and I would play a Frank Sinatra song and the eggs would immediately start rocking and the chicks would chirp like crazy.
They are 2 weeks old and still love it They have great taste in music

I would play a white noise machine, waves, or rain and it would keep my little ones quiet for awhile. Eventually I think they got used to it and would cry again.

My ducklings were brooded in our shop building. I left the radio on for them all of the time. It won't hurt, that is for sure.
My husband grew up on a dairy farm and they always left the radio on for the cows.
