Our sweet girl is hurt. Sorry she is a mess. But we live in MI. They are so nasty and it’s below zero so we can’t even clean the pens. They are frozen. We are putting new wood chips over the nasty. But you know ducks.
Anyway, any idea what may be wrong with her?

Injuries are not visible from the pictures, if you part the feathers how bad is the damage? If minor, the area could likely be left alone. I would be concerned applying too much ointment due to the risk of it freezing over the wound.

FYI. She is our loan female Muscovy. We have 5 other Kackie Campbell. 2 male 3 female. And 4 Ginny Hens. 1 rooster with a terrible scissor beak.
Only thing we ever noticed is she fly’s out of the pen into our barn because the males won’t leave her alone. They can’t fly like her.

My son got bluekote on her before we could look better.

we have 2 old cats. But that’s only thing in barn. They don’t bother poultry.

My son said she may have got caught up in something in the bar and when she flew. Who knows. Ugh. We just love her. I hatched her and had to peel her out of the egg. So we are bonded.
