I just got groceries on Friday and all weekend the boys and DH have been snacking their brains out. I went to the cabinet this morning to fix a snack for the oldest DS to take to school and there is NOTHING left! I had a bag of Doritos, a bag of Ruffles, a can of Pringles,a bag of cheddar popcorn and a box of Cheez-its. There were enough cheez-its to get DS his snack, but that is it. Wanna know how much I got of it all? I got maybe a bowlful of Ruffles and a handful of popcorn. And they wonder why I hide my snacks! I think they are going to be hurting for the next two weeks because I am not buying any more until next payday! I dread the teenage years already and my kids are only 8.5 and 10.5!

To top it off, my online English instructor has yet to post grades and our first assignment was due 1/20. I understand she must be overwhelmed, but it would be nice to know what my weaknesses in writing are so I can correct them.

There is more, but I will spare you all the crud!

Thanks for letting me rant a bit.

Yeah, and what a heartbreak... you think the Cardinals have a shot... I tell my kids not to get too excited (like I was), that there was plenty of time for the Steelers to come back.
What a bad nightmare.
Still lots of snacks left here.

My kids know they can only have snacks like chips with lunch, or with permission. Even popcorn.
But they can fruit or yogurt ANYTIME.

My DH, though.... He's the one I have to hide stuff from. Even crackers aren't safe from him. Makes me sad when I crave a bowl of soup and there aren't any crackers left.

Mine always has to have lunchmeat and bread in the house . Or he gets mad, espec. when the kids leave him only the two end nubbies of bread no one wants and a slice of cruddy bologna. He also loves those little 58cent pies from Walmart. My kids are like locusts . They had snow days tuesday-friday. Nothing was left. WE even ran out of eggs and chicken salad. Now they are back in school and i am sitting on a pile of leftover dip from the superbowl party. If you all want you can come over > I still have chili, cornbread, seven layer-, hot artichoke- and spinach dip and plenty of chips and crackers.Just bring the drinks and soda.

I feel your pain tabsmonsters. I have three teenagers in the house, and all I ever hear is "I'm hungry!". They are absolute bottomless pits!
