Must be sour crop but it's different

Ugh. She did well for several days, but this morning she had a full squishy crop, and had dribbled on her crop area. Clearly an underlying cause is in play. The fluid doesn't stink, it's not really "sour". I still gave her the miconizole. Not sure this one is going to have a happy ending.
I'm sorry that she's starting to decline again. :(

She went downhill hard and fast. This morning when I wanted to medicate her, I realized she had "leaked" onto her crop and it was almost impossible to touch her anywhere without fluid being expelled. I went ahead and medicated her, even though I thought it was useless. Today was the 6th day of miconazole-- I did not think it was a good sign to regress this late in the game. By midday she was all puffed up like a corrid victem. She perked up enough to go outside this afternoon-- it was a pretty day, sunny and mild. Around 4 I checked and the others had come into the coop, but she had not. She was hanging around, just outside the coop door. I went ahead and caught her, and brought her into the hospital cage to wait for word from the vet that she was ready for us. The euthanasia injection went smoothly. The vet was really surprised how squishy and full she was, crop and abdomen. Lots of fluid was released when she passed.

I did not want to take a chance on her suffering needlessly as I continued to treat a crop that just wasn't functioning. There was no obvious blockage, but her crop contents were not sour. If I had to guess, there's a lash egg inside of her, or some other blockage that is causing this. I wish I could have helped her enough. But in the end, I thought it best to give her the gift of a peaceful passing, rather than risk a horrible death.

RIP little one.
