Hey there, my swans and I live in Michigan and we need a permit to keep swans in captivity here, but it depends on the state. Search for the department of natural resources for your state on the internet and they should have a web site that mentions permits for keeping various animals/wild life in captivity. I did not really encourage nesting this year so there were no cygnets hatched. With all the flooding we had this year any nests they mating pairs tried to build got washed out. We have no extra swans.

Next spring would anyone consider selling eggs?? I bought some this past spring, I have one cygnet would like another from a different set of parents

It's possible. I have heard that it isn't easy to incubate swan eggs, but you obviously had some success.
