Isn't it so exciting!?!? I am hatching out my first batch right now also. 5 pipped during the day and 1 has already hatched!

so.....................newbie here..............what exactly is a pip? A sound? I'm on day 19 and have seen only 2 of mine move slightly...............

Temp 100 and Humidity 65. It was a little up and down today and made me crazy, but never in a worry zone. I used the rip-off $80 ReptiPro 5000 from thinkgeek.com to incubate and now have them in an aquarium turned hatcher!

I'm taking my boys out to a farm to pick up a 4 month supply of organic feed in the morning and it will probably be a 2.5 hour trip, so I figure they'll hatch then! That's just how it goes, right!?

temp is 99.5, humidity right around 66-67 ish now? it's been right around those numbers all day, temp goes between 99-100 depending on when the heat thing shuts off and tuns on.

Posted my temp and the next time I go look it is up! Oh no!!! This hatcher I made is going to give me a heart attack, I just know it. I will be so excited to use the incubator to hatch my Ameraucana eggs! It's gotten up to I think 101.5. It's sloooowwwwllllllyyyy going back down. Why now!?!? Ugh.

They're chirping at me though so hopefully they're ok!!!!!

Yep - now day 20! Temp back down. Freak out over! I'm going to give it a little while to make sure it's stable and try to get a bit of sleep. I don't know why it shot up all of a sudden but it better not do it again!
