Good morning! I'm up to 11 babies! 1 more is pipping and 4 more with no signs. Here they are!

They are just too cute. I will be getting lots of pics as soon as I can move them to the brooder. I am so excited that my 1st time has gone so well. I love these little cuties!!!!

Update on your hatch, koakritters! Did #10 make it out? How many are you waiting on? Pics?? Good luck!

These are the cutest little things, and I love the "kissing" picture! I'm incubating for the first time as well; I'm just on day 7.
Your hatcher is fabulous. I love how well you can see into it. Did you find directions to make it, or is it of your own invention? If you followed directions, where did you find them?

ChestnutRidge - I just looked through the homemade hatchers and incubators on here and threw together stuff I had laying around the house and in the attic, and played with it until I got it right. The big humidifier works as a fan and helps to keep the temp stable. There is an adjustable heating pad underneath the aquarium so I can adjust it enough for slight temp fluctuations. The bulb is a 60 watt. I just played around with it for a couple of weeks, tweaking as I went and it finally got to be perfect and stayed that way so I was thrilled!!! Oh, and on top is a piece of plexiglass with foil taped to the underneath side and a blanket on top that I can pull over or up as I need to also. Good luck if you try to make one!!! Ooooh, next time I will not make one rookie mistake - I didn't think to velcro the thermometer and hygrometer so the very first chick out knocked them both over!
