My 2 chickens are too hot all the time. Help

I tried misters when I lived in Bakersfield. The temp drop is significant but we just ended up with a huge mess and the hens avoided going near them. But I do realize everyone's experience is different, and that is a great suggestion. However, bringing to attention (another poster mentioned), that tile floor does look slippery! They need footing even when they are landing. You could add some large potted plants, maybe they also feel to exposed in the tiled area with nowhere to hide/hang out. You could use a kiddie pool to make a dirt bath for them.

Sheets make great shade!

Frozen treats are awesome, especially in the heat of the day. Just remember to keep it at 10% or less so they still get their needed nutrients. Remember to avoid scratch as I read this makes them hotter as they are digesting.

I just remembered, you could also set up a small fan behind a frozen 2 liter or gallon pointed toward the coop. That is what a family member did for their rabbits. The fan makes a huge difference for us, should do the same for them.

Is there a way to make a canopy to provide a little more shade. You could use a bed sheet, doesn't have to be elaborate.

Also just wandering do they walk well on the tile floor? You have a very nice and clean space, but am wondering if the tile a slick and they may have a hard time with footing and that may be one reason they stay in their coop so often.

Your plan for giving frozen/cold treat is a good idea.
they dont seem to mind the tiles they sometimes slip when they are running too fast(for example when i bring them some treats) but they find their footing. they can walk around fine. i think the reason they dont come out is maybe because the floor is so heated up even when its covered in water and it takes some time to cool or they are jut too lazy.
